Rain or shine…
September of 2018Stefani and Justin’s wedding will forever be one of my all time favorite weddings. The location was nothing short of magical. Camp Puhtok (Puhtok In The Pines) is a little slice of heaven tucked in the backwoods of Baltimore County. I’d never heard of it until Stefani reached out to me asking about my services, and even then I couldn’t believe that such a place existed. Everything wasn’t all flowers and sunshine on the day of the wedding though… in fact it was the exact opposite; every bride’s worst nightmare: RAIN. And it wasn’t just light rain, it was flood-level rains. When I got there Justine could barely even acknowledge my presence because he was so busy doing damage control given how badly plans had changed due to the excessive rain. Stefani, however, was very chill and nonchalant about everything. Seeing her be so calm made me and everyone else around her calm. She was having a good time and so were we! Fortunately after the Ketubah signing, the rain had stopped. The guests arrived, and the ceremony was, to this date, the most emotionally charged aesthetically pleasing ceremony I have ever shot. A note from the Groom…
We put together the whole thing ourselves, with the help of some close friends. Stef made all the decorations by hand, I designed and printed all the invitations, menus and maps, our friend made the weaving we stood under for the ceremony, and a friend with a farm grew all the flowers.
