Kaitlyn & Patrick | Union Market Engagement + National Portrait Gallery DC | DC Wedding Photographer

This was a FUN shoot! I’d seen online, but never been to the National Portrait Gallery in person before. This place was wild, and I’m 100% going on a day off. The museum was monumental in size. We went down various hallways that had various entryways/doorways that led to so. much. art. - I could not believe the size of this place. We only scratched the surface by visiting the 3rd floor, but we were able to get a looooot of unique shots. I like for my engagement shoots to BE ABOUT SOMETHING other than my couples standing in front of my camera and smiling. The best engagement shoots come, I believe, from my couples partaking in an activity, and having me photography them. The theme of this shoot, more or less, was “a day at the museum” followed by some shots over at Union Market. By far one of my favorite engagement shoots to date :)
